Head Coach: Ken Evraire
Played university football with Wilfrid Laurier. Was named an
All-Canadian twice and All-OUA three times as a Golden Hawk, as well as
conference rookie of the year in 1985 and conference MVP in 1987. His accomplishment led to enshrinement into the Golden Hawks
Hall of Fame in 1993.
Professionally, Evraire was selected by Saskatchewan in the
second round of the 1988 college draft, ninth overall. He enjoyed
a nine-year Canadian Football League career with Ottawa, Hamilton and
Saskatchewan. Earned the Lew Hayman trophy, awarded to most outstanding
Canadian in the Eastern Conference, while a member of the Tiger-Cats in
1992. As a professional, Evraire collected 249 receptions, 3797 yards
and 17 touchdowns.

Offensive Line: Irv
Daymond
As a player, Coach Daymond was a 6th-round
selection (53rd overall) of the BC Lions in the 1984
college draft. He was signed by the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1986 and remained
with the club until 1995.
Daymond has coached amateur football in Ottawa with
NCAFA's Nepean Redskins and coached the offensive line for three seasons with the University of
Ottawa Gee-Gees.

Linebackers: Steve
Glenn
Played at the University of Ottawa from 1990 to 1994 where he was a team
captain during his final three seasons. The Gee-Gees named Glenn their
top defensive performer (as a linebacker) in 1992. Glenn was also a selection of the OQIFC
all-star team in 1991, 1992 and 1994.
Coach Glenn played professionally from 1996
to 2005 with Montreal, Winnipeg and Ottawa and was consistently among
the Canadian Football League's top special teams performers.

Defensive Backs: Sean McAree
Played 2 years with the Ottawa Sooners as a Defensive Back, going to 2 Provincial championships and one National Championship. He was twice named Defensive Player of the week in Canada.
Following his CJFL years, McAree moved on to play for the Ottawa Gee Gees before retiring due to an injury. McAree has been coaching high school football at John McCrae SS, and most recently at Merivale High School.

Quarterbacks: Wayne Jacobs
Wayne had a very successful football career quarterbacking the Ottawa Sooners, University of Texas El Paso (Div 1, NCAA), Ottawa Gee Gees, to playing semi professional ball in Europe, until beginning to coach in 1999. Wayne coached throughout the European league before coming back home and coaching for local clubs.
Wayne very happily accepted the role of the Ottawa Invaders' quarterback specialist. With six seasons of quarterback experience in Europe, and two more coaching, Wayne is an asset the Invaders are happy to have.
